The dream of the personal computer, as far back as its creators at Xerox PARC, and as imagined through the lens of science fiction movies and TV shows, has always been something much more wondrous, creative, and shared.

Today we're sharing Imbue Studio to bring that dream to life.

Imbue Studio lets you make a “studio” — a computer where you can work together with AI agents and other people to create tools, pull in data, and build durable systems for your life. Make one for just yourself, or share a whole studio to build together.

Make personal tools from any service you use. For example, take your calendar, email, and Slack, and turn them into a todo list that updates in real-time.

Share tools as easily as sharing a Google Doc. Send a link and people can use the app right away. Everyone sees and works on the same thing. Publish tool templates for others to use on their data.

Collaborate in real-time with teammates and friends. Share a whole studio for everyone to build and edit in together. Add features as you need them. Make as many studios as you want. Who needs collaborative software when you can collaborate on software?

Bring in anything in your digital life. Bring in your friends’ tools. Bring in data from any service you’re using, like email, calendar, Slack, Notion and thousands more. Bring in files from your computer, or bring in anything from the internet.

A revolutionary new kind of computing environment

Make a tool from anything. Create a tool from a screenshot, a napkin sketch, or even just a URL of an existing product!

Make anything into a desktop app. Just drag your apps out of the Studio and on to your desktop!

Use everything on your phone — or as your home screen. Anything you create in Imbue Studio is accessible from your phone. Ask the studio to do things on the go. You can even make it your phone’s home screen, so your personal apps are always available.

Easily modify anything. Right click to modify anything. Say what should be different, and watch it change in front of you.

Customize literally everything. Because Studio is open source and has access to its own source code, it can change itself. Change what your studio looks like (the colors! The fonts! The shape of your windows!), or change anything about its skills or how it works. Studio keeps working on your other tasks while it modifies itself. You can ask for whole new features, or to fix anything you break.

Switch AI providers, even mid-chat. Switch between Anthropic, OpenAI, or open model subscriptions, even in the middle of a conversation. Work across models while you preserve your own context and memory.

Built to be under your control

At Imbue we believe your tools should serve you, not the company that built them. So we built Imbue Studio to be deeply yours.

• Runs where you want, 24/7. Choose Imbue Cloud or run it on your own machine. Scheduled tasks keep going while you're away, as long as your machine is online.
• Zero lock-in. Backups and easy export are built in. You can always download a cloud studio and run it locally at any time.
• See everything, change everything. All of the base code for a studio is open source, and any changes you make are your own. Your AI can check how your data is handled.
• End-to-end encrypted. All traffic and stored data is fully encrypted--not even we can read the data sent between you and your workspace.
• Fine-grained permissions. Agents have zero access by default. You control exactly what AI can access. For example, you can let an agent label emails without allowing it to send or delete them.
• Safe and secure. All agents are run in a secure sandbox. Agents don't have access to your secrets or credentials, and only have access to what you explicitly allow.
