Things we believe

1. Technology should be human-centered. Our tools should serve to further our goals and help us live fuller, richer, more meaningful lives. In the context of our work, we believe agents should be collaborative, not autonomous, so people will always remain in the driver's seat and steer technology toward the human good.

2. AI radically expands what computers can do for us. The power of computing is still vastly under-explored today. We believe AI shows a path forward to a new type of computing: tools that help us further our goals, bring our ideas to life, and shape our digital environments as we wish.

3. Access requires invention. New capabilities are not broadly distributed by default. If we want the benefits of technology to reach everyone, we must invent the components to make it accessible and understandable.

4. Bespoke software unlocks personal computing. We work on reasoning and coding capabilities so that agents can ultimately enable every person to write software. Our vision is for computers to be the ultimate all-purpose tool — without needing unique technical abilities to use to its full potential.

5. Innovation requires a first-principles, full-stack approach. We seek to understand and innovate across the entire process — from model training to interface design — to truly reimagine personal computing and create tools that are useful for our everyday lives.
